3 Plants that are easy to grow
Aloe (Aloe vera)
Aloe lives in dry soil , that means less watering .
when cut open, it can be used as gel to sooth light cuts and burns.
Use pots with lots of holes at the bottom for better drainage, as Aloe will die when the soil is contains too much water.
Tip :Allow the soil to be completely dry before watering it, you can check by looking at the soil and seeing if the soil clumps up together.
Pothos Plant (Philodendron)
Pothos maybe one of if not the most hardy plant as it can withstand a large range of temperature , thrive in nutrient poor soild and low lighted areas such as bathrooms while also looking nice.
This plant has an air-purifuing quality that can absorb toxins eg(Formaldehyde) which may cause cancer.
These plants can also survive in dry soil but must be watered slightly more frequently then Aloe vera, around 2 to 3 days but they can survive up to 2 weeks without watering.
However if ingested it may cause irriation on the body as well as being toxic to cats, dog and childern. So be careful not to let them near the plant or select another plant to grow
Jade Plant (Crassula ovata)
The jade plant is a very elegant looking plant that is said to be a symbol of good luck.
Caring for it is very simple , in the sense that it needs watering when the top layer of soil is dry to the touch.
If you want the palnt to grow faster you may buy some balanced water soluble fertilizer commonly found in supermarkets or flowershops, and apply it on the top like sprinking salt.
Water it after watering the plant slightly as adding fertilizer to the sry soil will damage the roots of the plant.
